Dr. Lilajit “Lily” Rai was born in Michigan, but her family moved to New Orleans when she was four years old so she considers herself a New Orleanian.Dr. Rai knew from an early age that caring for animals was her life’s work. When the veterinary clinic that she brought her own animal to was for sale, Dr. Rai jumped in to action. After losing the clinic in Hurricane Katrina, she never questioned whether to rebuild. She did.
When not tending to the clinic and her patients, Dr. Rai enjoys cooking, staying in shape, and riding her horse- Strawberry and Freshta.

Client Care Specialist
Tracey was born in Florida, but was raised in New Orleans when her parents relocated here. She is a receptionist who has been with NOLA Animal Clinic since 2016. Her love for animals is apparent to everyone that comes into the clinic. In addition to her two-legged children, Tracey loves spending time with Lil Shorty Boy and Ariel, her loving and protective pups.Veterinary Technician
Markea Gilbert is a veterinary technician at NOLA Animal Clinic. She has been working here since 2007. Originally, she was hired as a kennel technician. She was trained into another position. Since then, she has gained 13 years of veterinary experience while simultaneously improving her customer service skills. She supports the veterinarian staff with examinations, maintains inventory, completes laboratory tests, collects patients’ samples, and administers medication based on individual care plans. On her free time, she enjoys going to many different worlds by reading fictional books.Kennel Technician
Hai is a kennel technician from New Orleans, Louisiana. He also operates as a spa and hotel technician when needed. He has been working at NOLA Animal Clinic since 2018. Since his time here, he has earned the nickname Happy. When he isn’t at work taking care of animals, he enjoys taking care of his chihuahua, Wednesday.
